TIFFANY VORA

Dr. Tiffany Vora is an educator, writer, research scientist, and entrepreneur who lives in Silicon Valley. She is currently Faculty and Vice Chair of Medicine and Digital Biology at Singularity University, a global learning and innovation community that's using exponential technologies to tackle the world's great challenges.

Tiffany is working to amplify the impact of women leaders in STEM through Homeward Bound, and is fostering global conversations about humanity’s future with Humanity in Deep Space and ExploreMars, where she is a board member. She is also honored to be a Nonresident Fellow at the GeoTech Center within the Atlantic Council, where she helps bring together new technologies and data that empower people, prosperity, and peace.

Tiffany’s PhD research in the Department of Molecular Biology at Princeton University, which was funded through NASA, brought her into the emerging fields of genomics, systems biology, computational biology, and astrobiology. With the Mars Society, Tiffany designed and supported biology- and health-related research in Mars simulations in extreme environments. Tiffany was formerly a Visiting Assistant Professor at the American University in Cairo and an Instructor in the Bioengineering Department at Stanford University.

Tiffany has mentored startup founders, inspired companies to tackle humanity’s grand challenges, and supported governments and other organizations to prepare for a radically different future of life on Earth (and elsewhere). Her in-person presentations, workshops, and videos through Singularity University, TEDx, and others have reached more than 100,000 people around the world. Tiffany loves playing music, scuba diving, hiking, writing, and exploring the universe with her family.
